12:38am: The Cleaner
So I'll admit it, I only started watching The Cleaner on A&E because Grace Park was staring in it. Most people will know her as Boomer/Athena from the fantastic Battlestar Galactica series. (I better get into that panel at Comic Con or there will be hell to pay!)

It's actually interesting enough, the main star is Benjamin Bratt who helps people clean up their lives, hence the title of the show.

I wouldn't say that it's a great show, but the first episode was interesting enough and Grace Park is sexy. ;-)

I'll keep watching since they actually did something pretty Joss Wheden-esqe in the pilot episode. Something I normally don't expect on something like A&E, so here's hoping that the show remains interesting and challenging. And Grace Park stays sexy... ;-)

Interesting story.

I don't know if too many of you knew me when I was a GIGANTIC X-Files fan. But I'm glad to see Mulder and Scully back on the big screen.

Hopefully the movie will be good? We'll see, though I have to admit. After watching the FANTASTIC and The Dark Knight, I dunno if X-Files can be as deep and interesting as it used to be.

I guess we'll see. :)

10:46pm: Photoshoot: Cherrie at Baker Beach
Did a fantastic photoshoot with Cherrie yesterday at Baker Beach in San Francisco.

It's kinda silly actually, I was driving up from work in Santa Clara, it was hot (in the 80's) bright, beautiful day and then I entered SF. :P

It got dark and gray and the temp dropped into the high 60's. Cherrie is an amazing model though, I kept asking her if she still wanted to shoot with the cold temperatures, but she wanted to go on.

We had an amazing shoot, as you can see in the pics. Sadly we had to cut it short because of the weather, but next time baby! :D

Just FYI, lots of beach and bikini photos, in case your workplace considers it NSFW.

Oh god I love it! Dr. Horrible's solo is F-ing amazing!

Reminds me a little bit OF Spike's solo in "Once More, With Feeling." Same kind of hatred, fire and sense of revenge there. Huh, that or I'm projecting anger issues. ;-)

Bought the eps on iTunes too. Only $4 for all 3 acts. Yah, I'll probably buy the DVD too when it comes out...

And I'm trying VERY hard not to buy the Captain Hammer t-shirt to wear to Comic Con... I just love his expression, though yah. Gotta admit, it's good to be Horrible. :D

10:52pm: All The Great Books (abridged)
I just got back from The Reduced Shakespeare Company's show, "All The Great Books (abridged)."

It was a hilarious show giving you a very quick taste of, yes, you guessed it, all of the great books in literary history.

It was a very fast, funny, no... hilarious show. And I haven't even read HALF of the books they covered.

Anyway, they are playing in San Jose right now, so if you get the chance, definitely go catch them.

You'll have a great time! :>

Need to watch Joss Whedon's supervillian musical starring Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser, M.D., Starship Troopers) called Dr Horrible.

2:22am: Oh E3...
I keep reading news about E3.

I'm actually really excited about Ghostbusters and Fallout 3.

It's gotten me wanting to play Fallout 2 again. Ugh, where did it goooo!? I can't remember if I ever finished it or not. Good excuse to try it again I guess. :D

And of course, I'll always have fold memories of attending E3 before it completely went to shit. LOL

2:47pm: The 2nd Gen Blues (iPhone 3G and Drobo 2)
iPhone 3G
Ok, I'm not getting the iPhone 3G. LOL I think everyone asked me about this at AX! Maybe because I got the first iPhone last AX when I went to stand in line at the closest Apple store to the convention center. X-D

Although 3G would be nice, I really don't need it and I *really* don't want to pay an extra $15/mo for the 3G. (Original iPhone plan is $60, iPhone 3G plan is $70+$5 for 200 text. Original plan included 200 text).

So yah, all of those new people getting iPhones, enjoy it! You'll absolutely love it! :D

Drobo 2
So I *JUST* got my Drobo in the mail (with a $50 mail in rebate) and they announce Drobo 2! Doh!

The only real difference is that they added Firewire 800 and made it quieter. I was thinking about it, but yah, not worth it for me to return the thing and get the new one. Again would be nice, but it's already set up and humming along nicely. And I'm using it for storage so transfers over USB 2.0 is good enough.

Also when Amazon updates their prices to the lower one, I can request some cash back, since the price changed so drastically ($470 when I bought it and $350 now). So yah, I'll gladly take the $120. :)

I named the Drobo, Wall-E btw. X-D I mean, it's square and it's a "storage robot" so I couldn't resist. X-D

If you haven't already, check out the Drobo demo video. It is really impressive how Drobo works. Even if Cali Lewis is really annoying in this video, but the Drobo is awesome and cute. :)

For those who are wondering, I currently have 1 320gig SATA drive and a 500 gig SATA drive for about 300 gigs of protected storage.

Meaning, if either drive files, my data is still fine.

I just bought another 320gig SATA drive for $50 which will give me a total of 500+ gigs of protected data.

When I do put that 4th drive in, that means that any 2 drives can fail and there will be no data loss. But this 3 drive configuration should last me a long while. Storage wise and MTBF (Mean time before failure) since all 3 drives are brand new.
