Beautiful San Fracisco, California. Picture taken from the top floor of the Holiday Inn. Anime Overdose has been one of my favorite cons. In it's first year, it was able to bring a Japanese guest of honor, which is basically unheard of for a first year con. It also helps that that guest was Miss Yuriko Fuchizaki, the voice actress of Ri Kouran from the Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars) series of video games, anime and live action musicals.
This being it's second year, it was able to bring Fuchizaki-san back, along with the J-Rock band, Psycho le Cemu and other popular American guests such as Tara Strong (the voice of Raven from Teen Titans) and Rob Paulsen (the voice of Yakko from Animaniacs). AoD just seems to be getting bigger and better every year.
I had a wonderful time at this year's AoD and thanks to the con, my friends and the amazing live performance of Psycho le Cemu, I'm now a big fan of the band. I'm looking forward to AoD again next year.
Here are my pictures from the con and I hope you enjoy them. :)

From left to right, it's AJ as Musical Reni, Tristen Citrine as Revue Kouran, Miss Yuriko Fuchizaki, Aimee as Revue Sumire, and me as Revue Ohgami. The absolute highlight of AnimeOD has been to meet with Yuriko Fuchizaki. As I've said, she's the voice actress on Sakura Taisen and I'm a big ST fan.
By shear coincidence, I was staying on the same hotel floor as she was. We shared the same elevator down and I was able to speak with her breifly. X-D I tried very hard to not be a fanboy. I was then able to take the above picture with her. X-D
As if that wasn't enough, we were later asked to sit in the front row of her panel in our Musical Revue outfits. X-D We even took group picture right before the panel started, also seen above.
This alone totally made this convention for me!
Another surprise for me was how much I really enjoyed Psycho le Cemu. I've enjoyed their softer music and only really attended the concerts since they were free as part of the convention registration.
But after seeing them live and in person. Everything they played was just amazing. Their softer songs that I really enjoyed on their CD and their harder rock songs had me head banging. And I never do that, LOL. Needless to say that I'm now a fan and asked to borrow their new CD when I got home. :)
I went ahead and paid for the ticket to get a picture with the band. I couldn't think of anything to pose as, so I just did a "jazz hands/Sakura Taisen" pose. LOL. :D
Lemoned made some hilarious comments for this pciture too.
Tenma/Mikoto from School Rumble Psycho le Cemu Yankees Vivi from Final Fantasy IX. Just a black mage checking out the con. X-D Costume made by sbjudy. It looks like Vivi is low on gil, so he needs to go to the ATM. Just for scale, see what he looks like next to someone. :) Robin and Starfire from the Teen Titans. They are from the episode, "Date with Destiny." Yes, it's obscure, but it's cool! :D
Waynekaa as Prom Robin and AJ as Prom Starfire.Syaoran from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Aimee in her EGL outfit and her dollfie. The "DAISHI" from PLC is borrowed. :) BanBan Akaza Deka Red DekaRanger.
Cosplayed by Waynekaa.USA Musume in the brightest costumes I've ever seen! Ayane from the Dead or Alive series! I would love to be in a DOA group with her! :D Neato mask. I think he's from a J-Rock band Man in Black From DigiCarat Inuyasha The different forms for DAISHI from Psycho le Cemu. :) The best in show winner at the AoD masquerade. A complete PLC group! :D
